A private transfer to or from Port of Miami and Lighthouse Point runs on a flat rate from $250 per vehicle, in a black SUV for up to 5 passengers or a private Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van for larger groups. Your bilingual driver meets you curbside at the PortMiami cruise terminal, loads every bag, and drives door-to-door north into Broward County — booked ahead, with no surge and no meter.
Each fare below covers the whole private vehicle and your whole group, cruise luggage included — one price, never a per-seat charge.
Book one private vehicle sized to your group, and the driver handles the rest. Select the black SUV for up to five passengers, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van for six to nine, or the larger Sprinter for ten to fourteen. Reserve through WhatsApp or the website at least a day ahead, and the driver meets your group curbside as you clear the PortMiami cruise terminal. There is no ticket line and no garage hunt — just your reserved vehicle. The driver loads your cruise luggage and drives you straight to your Lighthouse Point address, door to door. The day before journey, you receive the driver’s name, the vehicle model, and the license plate by text, so you know exactly who to look for the moment you step off the ship.
Our fare locks at booking and never moves — no surge pricing, no traffic surcharge, no demand multiplier on a busy disembarkation morning. The vehicle is reserved for your party alone; you never share the ride with strangers or wait on other passengers. Every driver is bilingual, speaking English plus Spanish or Portuguese, which smooths things when a cruise itinerary shifts. You reach us directly on WhatsApp to book, move a pickup time, or flag extra bags — no call center, no app queue. Drivers assist load and unload cruise luggage at both ends, and full trip details reach by text the day before. For a family stepping off a ship with tired kids and a stack of suitcases, a named driver waiting curbside beats scrambling for a ride.
Lighthouse Point is a small waterfront city in Broward County, laced with residential canals that open toward the Intracoastal and the Atlantic. It carries an easygoing boating-and-marina character — private docks behind numerous homes, a handful of waterside restaurants, and quiet, upscale streets rather than a high-rise resort strip. Cruise passengers usually head here to stay with family, start or end a boating trip, or utilize it as a peaceful base near Broward’s beaches and dining. You can read more on the City of Lighthouse Point official site, and the name nods to Florida’s long lighthouse history — see one of the state’s preserved beacons at the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse.
The area itself is largely residential, so most visitors stay with family or in the broader Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale coastal areas nearby. We drop you at any street address you give — a private home, a rental, or lodging in the surrounding Broward beach communities. Share the exact address when you book and the driver takes you straight to the door.
Lighthouse Point leans toward the water. Visitors spend time boating and fishing along the canals and Intracoastal, dining at waterside spots, and reaching the Atlantic beaches of the surrounding Broward coast. It is a quieter, residential alternative to Miami’s nightlife — good for families and anyone wanting calm water views between cruises. Whatever the plan, the driver drops you right at the address.
The ride is a straightforward run north from PortMiami up into Broward County, and its length depends on the traffic you meet that day rather than a single fixed clock. Midday and evening roads generally move freely. Disembarkation mornings and weekday rush hours are slower, since several ships empty at once and the highways fill with cruise and commuter traffic heading north. Your driver builds the schedule around your booked pickup time and the day’s conditions, and factors in the minutes it takes to load a family’s worth of cruise luggage. Because we do not quote a to-the-minute promise we cannot keep on a variable route, we plan generously so you reach Lighthouse Point without a rushed, white-knuckle drive.
The flat fare covers the running costs a metered ride would pile on top, plus the extras that create cruise day easier.
A few things sit outside the fare. Driver gratuity is optional and always appreciated but never added automatically. Food and drinks, parking fees, and unscheduled stops are not included, though a short stop arranged in advance can usually be accommodated for a small added charge. Each additional child seat beyond the first carries a fee confirmed when you book.
Berth assignments belong to the cruise line, and one vessel does not always tie up at the same building from sailing to sailing — a company with several ships in port on the same morning may move yours. Your boarding documents and the cruise app both name the terminal for that specific date. Pass it to us when you reserve, and message again if it changes, because the pickup lane you walk out to follows the building.
Three private vehicle classes cover this route, each reserved for your group alone and sized to your bags.
Unsure which fits your suitcases? Message us on WhatsApp with your group size and bag count, and we match the vehicle to your party.
Payment runs through Venmo, Zelle, or a secure payment link sent by WhatsApp or on the website; card and link payments carry a 4% bank fee. Full cash at pickup is not accepted. A round trip is simply double the one-way fare. For a pickup starting at PortMiami or elsewhere on the Miami side, a 50% deposit confirms the booking and the remaining 50% can go to the driver on trip day, cash accepted. A reverse-direction pickup from farther out — Broward, Palm Beach, and beyond — is paid in full ahead of time. Cancellations made 24 or more hours before pickup are refunded in full; inside 24 hours the booking is non-refundable.
Daytime pickups between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM carry no surcharge. A trip that starts outside that window adds a small night charge, shown below by vehicle.
Cruise travelers ask the same handful of practical questions before booking a transfer to Lighthouse Point. Here are direct answers on late ships, meeting your driver, disembarkation-day pickups, child seats, luggage, and how the private-van pricing works, so you can book with the full picture.
Your driver tracks your ship’s arrival and disembark timing, so a late dock re-times your pickup automatically at no extra cost. You never re-book or pay a penalty. The driver simply waits and adjusts to when you actually clear customs and step out of the terminal.
The driver meets your group curbside right outside the PortMiami cruise terminal as you exit, holding a name sign when you request one on WhatsApp beforehand. Once you connect, the driver loads your cruise luggage and walks you straight to the waiting vehicle for the ride north.
Yes. Disembarkation-day pickups are exactly what this transfer is built for. Book at least 24 hours ahead so we can assign your vehicle, and the driver is curbside for your agreed time. Courtesy waiting of 30 minutes from that time covers the usual terminal shuffle.
Yes. The first child seat is free for a child under five, and each additional seat carries a small fee confirmed when you book. Request seats on WhatsApp in advance with the children’s ages, so the driver has them installed and ready before you arrive.
Each passenger travels with one checked bag and one carry-on, and there is room for a family’s cruise luggage in the SUV or a private van. Have extra or oversized bags? Message us on WhatsApp in advance and we confirm the space or size you up to a larger van.
Our private van fills the shuttle role, but the rate is per vehicle, not per seat — your whole group of 6-9 or 10-14 rides in one private Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for the single flat price listed above. There is no shared ride and no per-person fare, and a round trip is double the one-way.
Rideshare pricing climbs exactly when a cruise crowd needs a car — a large-ship morning or a rainy evening can push app fares to several times the base rate, and the vehicle is whatever happens to be neighboring. Our price is agreed up front, a busy morning cannot change it, the vehicle is a reserved black SUV or private van, and the driver waits for your group by name. The table sums up the difference.

Sailing out rather than home? The hour that governs the day is the all-aboard time printed on your boarding pass, which falls before the published departure — gangways shut while the ship is still alongside. Give us that all-aboard and we count backward from it to set the collection at your Lighthouse Point address, leaving room for the drive and the porter handoff at the curb.
Lock in your private transfer to or from Port of Miami and Lighthouse Point before your sailing, so your driver is confirmed and waiting curbside. Send your ship name, pickup date and time, group size, and any child seats or extra bags by WhatsApp or email, and we reply with your vehicle and driver details. Reserve at least 24 hours ahead for the smoothest disembarkation-day pickup.
